CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY @ DREAMSPACE
Dreamspace recognizes that our social, economic and environmental responsibilities are integral to our business. We take our Corporate Social Responsibilities seriously and the objective of this policy is to provide a guide for all Dreamspace’s stakeholders on the values which underpin the conduct of our business and our relationships with the world in which we operate. Responsibility for CSR rests with the Directors.
At Dreamspace we believe our corporate social responsibility (CSR) must include our approach and behaviour towards the challenges of sustainability. The consistent embedding of CSR and sustainability into all our activities is perhaps the best reflection of who we are as an organization. We aim to remain at the forefront of CSR and sustainability not only through our innovative design and consultancy, but also in how we work internally. Every day, we support our clients in the delivery of their own sustainability goals and we help them show leadership in the creation of sustainable and resilient environments as well as improving our own performance as employers and members of our local societies. In leading by example, we are convinced we benefit all stakeholders – customers, shareholders, employees and suppliers.
CSR at Dreamspace is guided by four principles:
- To deal responsibly and ethically with our clients: We value our clients and are proud of the longstanding nature of many of the relationships built with them. Professionalism, honesty, trust and value for money are the guiding principles for all of our client dealings. We regularly monitor and review client feedback and, in particular, have procedures in place to ensure a rapid and responsive resolution for when issues about our services are raised.
- To deal responsibly and ethically with our suppliers: We recognise that our suppliers are key stakeholders and work with them to help us achieve our policy aspirations with regard to the delivery of our services. We will deal with our suppliers honestly and fairly, ensuring that payments for goods and services are made within agreed terms. We will endeavor to ensure that our suppliers follow responsible working practices.
- To understand and alleviate the environmental impact of our business: We recognise our responsibility to respect and limit the impact of our business on the environment. Our own commitment to the environment is regularly measured and monitored through our accreditation to the ISO 14001 certified programme. All employees are encouraged to act in an environmentally responsible manner. We will, wherever possible, only deal with suppliers with similar accreditation. We will endeavor to minimize the environmental impact of the premises that we design and will encourage our clients to adhere to these principles. Our directors have supported a programme of 10000 Trees which are planted in Mumbai , and the same are taken care of by the NGO Save Aarey Foundation.
- To work with the community: We strive to be a good corporate citizen recognising our responsibility to work in partnership with the communities that we operate. We support several charities during the year including those relevant to our profession. We actively support employees who wish to participate in their local communities. To be an employer of choice: We aim to attract, retain and motivate a high calibre of employee. We will encourage individuality and initiative. We are committed to providing equality of opportunity, free of discrimination, in an equitable, fair environment where personal development and growth is actively encouraged and supported.
